The tio Storm X NoLimit speed controller brings compact RC power management into a 40 x 35 x 12 mm format with a weight of 55 g including cable. Its waterproof design, integrated fail safe and built-in protection functions make it a focused electronics upgrade for model layouts that need dependable throttle control, braking and reverse handling. Calibration works through a single setup button and an LED-guided sequence rather than a bank of separate adjustments. The controller supports forward, brake and reverse, with reverse able to be switched off when a brake-only setup suits the model better. NiMH and LiPo battery types are supported across 4 to 8 cells and 4.8 to 9.6 V, while the 3.3 kHz drive frequency and 1.5 A BEC round out the technical package. Short-circuit protection and overload protection are built in, and the unit comes complete with wires plus an on off switch. In an RC car or similar electric model, the small footprint leaves more freedom when placing the electronics around the receiver, battery pack and motor. The neutral return in failsafe mode and the option to disable reverse give hobbyists clear control over how the model responds on the bench and out on the track.
