1:14 2-axle Riedler, stanchion trailer

The 1:14 2-axle Riedler stanchion trailer brings timber-haul detail into a scale transport setup with a steel sandwich frame, solid aluminium stanchions and a long, purposeful silhouette. At 620 x 190 x 305 mm and 2,600 g, the trailer adds real presence to a model road train while reflecting the look of the full-size Riedler vehicle named in the licence. Its mainframe uses 3 mm and 1 mm sheet steel parts that are laser cut and CNC bent, and the bogie follows the same sandwich construction for a consistent mechanical layout. The mounted bogie is adjustable and uses sliding pads to support manoeuvring through tighter course sections. A one-piece drawbar in fibre-reinforced plastic carries a chequer plate application and is held at a coupling height of 75 mm by 2 springs. The semitrailer axle includes dummy pneumatic springs, while the left and right underride guards and the CNC-milled rear bumper add further metal detail. The stanchion holders can be loosened with 2 grub screws, then repositioned or removed to suit different loading arrangements for logs or other long cargo. Ball-bearing mounted chromium wheels with wide tyres, mudguard splash protection, bumper mud flaps, a licence plate holder and 7-compartment rear lights build up the finished transport character.
