Fast response and fine control define the EX-NEXT Basic transmitter set for ambitious RC driving. The 4-channel 2.4 GHz system uses the XT radio standard and combines the EX NEXT master unit with LCD, Xpansion Unit 2 EXP 201, Extension Unit 2.1 Basic and Grip Unit 2 Basic in one configured setup. The electronics platform supports XT Telemetry as the factory RF mode and reaches up to 3x the transmission speed of the EX RR in XT Advanced Mode. Real-Time ICS, pairing functions, battery failsafe and a wide system menu expand the setup range beyond basic driving adjustments. The transmitter measures 240.5 x 163.0 x 107.2 mm, weighs 551 g excluding batteries and has a power consumption of 200 mA. Timer functions include trigger start, lap history, lap navigation, alarm mode and start stop control, adding useful race-day data handling alongside the driving setup. Compatible receivers are listed as KR 420XT and KR 242XT, and this version comes with 2 KR-242XT short antenna receivers. Power is supplied separately via 4 x AAA batteries, 4 x AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries, a 2S LiFe rechargeable battery at 6.6 V or a 2S LiPo rechargeable battery at 7.4 V. The broad menu structure suits competition sessions, multi-car pit setups and detailed tuning work on performance-focused RC models.
