The Italeri AB.205 / UH-1D "SAR" presents the Agusta-Bell AB-205 as a detailed 1:48 scale helicopter build, capturing the form of a multirole aircraft developed in Italy under license from the Bell UH-1 Iroquois, widely known as the "Huey." The search-and-rescue version gives the finished model a clear operational identity, with the familiar utility-helicopter layout translated into a compact display scale. The full-size AB-205 entered service in the 1960s and was developed for rapid transport into areas that were difficult to reach, a role that shaped its broad, functional airframe.
