McLaren MP4/2C 1:12 Formula 1 Model Kit

The Italeri McLaren MP4/2C in 1:12 scale brings one of Formula 1's defining championship cars into a large-format plastic model kit with the long, low bodywork, open cockpit and winged silhouette that made the 1986 machine instantly recognisable. Based on the MP4/2C raced by Alain Prost and Keke Rosberg, the build captures a car line that earned 3 drivers' championships and 2 constructors' championships. The recommended age marking is 14+. This detailed plastic kit is built around a substantial assembly project with an indicated assembly time of 600 minutes. The subject reflects the TAG Porsche-powered evolution of the MP4/2 line, a design associated with 850 hp and twin superchargers in period. The kit combines moulded parts, rubber tyres, photoetched details and decal options that let the bodywork, cockpit and engine areas carry the visual character of the original race car. Separate front and rear tyre sizes reinforce the authentic Formula 1 proportions, and removable body cowlings make it possible to expose the internal mechanical detail after the build is complete. On a shelf, in a display cabinet or as the centrepiece of a motorsport-themed collection, the finished McLaren MP4/2C has the presence of a classic Grand Prix car rather than a small desktop miniature. Builders can choose between 2 race versions from the 1986 F1 Championship, shaping the final look around Prost car #1 or Rosberg car #2. Paints, tools and glue are required separately.
