Italeri FIAT Mefistofele 1:12 Model Kit 1923-25

The Italeri FIAT Mefistofele 21706c.c. 1923-25 brings one of motor racing's most extreme machines into 1:12 scale, with a finished model length of 45 cm that gives the car's stretched proportions and towering bodywork real presence on the shelf. Based on upgraded Protar moulds, this assembly kit focuses on the distinctive engineering of the record car known as Mefistofele. Its design reflects the original machine built around the old Fiat SB4 chassis and the huge Fiat A-12 liquid-cooled aircraft engine with over 20,000 cm3 capacity. The bodywork rises high to house that engine, and the model translates those unusual proportions into a build that stands apart from later Grand Prix cars. More than 500 parts create room for mechanical depth across the chassis and engine area, while the opening bonnet lets the internal detail stay visible after assembly. Working steering adds another authentic function to the finished car. The historic background gives the model extra character: on 12 July 1924 at Arpajon, Ernest Eldridge drove the original car to 146.01 mph, over 230 km/h, to set the World Land Speed Record. That story carries into the finished replica, whether displayed with the bonnet raised to show the engine detail or set in a clean side profile that highlights the long red body, spoked wheels and bold FIAT markings.
