Italeri King Tiger 1:72 Model Kit Set brings the Sd.Kfz. 182 Panzer VI Ausf. B into a compact build with the visual weight of a late-war heavy tank. The assembly kit centers on the sloped frontal hull, the 8.8 cm KwK 43 L/71 gun and the broad turret profile that defined the original vehicle in service from mid 1944. The real King Tiger used a completely new chassis, carried almost 70 tons and reached 42 km/h with its Mayback V-12 engine, giving the finished model a strong technical story behind its shape. Two turret solutions were used on the full-size tank during production, with the Porsche turret appearing first and the Henschel turret equipping most later units. Both versions carried 80 rounds for the main cannon, a detail that places the design firmly within the heavy armor development of the period.
