The Italeri Vosper 72''6' MTB 77 model kit brings a fast Royal Navy motor torpedo boat into 1:35 scale with a finished length of 63.1 cm. The long, narrow hull, central bridge structure and armed wartime layout give the completed build a strong waterline presence whether placed on a shelf or worked into a naval diorama. This assembly kit is based on the Vosper 72'6'' class used during the Second World War for coastal patrol and anti-submarine support in the North Sea and English Channel. The full-size craft ran on 3 engines with a combined 4,200 hp and reached speeds close to 40 knots or 70 km/h, giving the subject its distinctly aggressive proportions. Italeri uses 100% new moulds for this release, and the kit also includes a photo etched fret for finer structural details. Decals for 3 versions open up different finishing directions across the same historic boat. Figures are not included. The subject suits builders drawn to naval history, deck equipment and compact combat craft with a clear operational role. During painting and finishing, the torpedo boat format offers room to work on hull markings, bridge details and weapon placements while keeping the overall footprint manageable at 63.1 cm.
