Italeri AB 212/UH-1N is a 1:48 assembly kit that recreates a medium utility helicopter with a finished model length of 36 cm. The subject traces back to the twin-turbine UH-1N family developed by Bell Helicopter at the end of the 1960s, while the AB-212 designation identifies the licensed Italian-built version produced by Agusta Westland. The airframe is defined by a 2-blade rotor and a fuselage extended beyond model 205, giving this helicopter its distinctive profile. Power in the full-size aircraft comes from 2 Pratt & Whitney PT6T turboshaft turbines rated at 1.342 kW, a technical detail that helps place the type within the utility and military transport class. The kit also draws on the later operational update applied in the first half of the 2000s, when the AB 212 received equipment to expand mission capability.
