Spitfire Mk.IX 1:72 Model Set Aircraft Kit

The Italeri Spitfire Mk.IX 1:72 Model Set combines aircraft history with hands-on scale building in a compact format. The finished fighter shape stands out through the Spitfire's elliptical wing planform, single-engine layout and 4-blade propeller, creating a recognisable WWII aircraft on the workbench. The assembly kit uses moulded parts on multiple sprues, including clear components for the canopy and nose glazing. The instruction system distinguishes glued parts from push-fit steps and identifies each piece by number and sprue letter, which helps keep the build organised across fuselage, wing and cockpit sections. The decal sheet carries 47 numbered markings and is screen printed by Cartograf in Italy. Two finishing versions are shown in the documentation: Spitfire Mk. IX - R.A.F. Squadron 126 - 1944 and Version B Lt. Fawcett, 309th Fighter Squadron, 31st Fighter Group, 15th Air Force, Castelvolturno, Italy, March 1944. The colour guide names EN 895 Gunship Green, EN 905 Flat Blue Gray Pale and EN 950 Black, with one interior shade mixed from 50% Blue Gray and 50% Gunship Green. With 600 minutes of assembly time, this set suits longer bench sessions that move from cockpit and fuselage work to wing alignment, canopy fitting and final markings. The included paints, brush, sprue cutter, precision tweezer, doublesided sandpaper and plastic glue support the main build and finishing stages in one box.
