Italeri Hurricane Mk.I 1:48 Aircraft Model Kit brings one of the Royal Air Force's defining early World War II fighters into a focused scale build. The detailed plastic kit centres on the Hawker Hurricane, an aircraft flown extensively during the Battle of Britain, with proportions in 1:48 scale that give the single-engine layout, canopy line and wing shape a strong presence on the bench and on display. The full-size aircraft was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin 12-cylinder, liquid-cooled inline engine delivering over 1,000 HP and reaching speeds above 500 km/h. Its armament of 8 Browning machine guns in 7.7 mm calibre made it a heavily armed fighter of its period. This edition also reflects the Hurricane's service with named RAF aces, and the kit provides 6 RAF aces versions for the finished markings: Douglas R.S. Bader, Robert R. Stanford-Tuck, Michael L. Robinson, W.L. Mc Knight, L. John W.C. Simpson and William 'Cherry' Vale. That combination of aircraft history, recognisable wartime form and multiple livery choices gives the build a clear direction at every stage. The finished Hurricane Mk.I fits naturally into WWII aircraft collections, diorama scenes and shelf displays where RAF subjects, Battle of Britain themes and ace-marked variants sit side by side.
