Italeri FIAT CR.42 Falco 1:48 Fighter Kit

The Italeri FIAT CR.42 Falco 1:48 Fighter Kit captures one of the last operational biplane fighters in a format that puts its structure and period character at the center of the build. Fixed landing gear, an open cockpit and the compact radial-engine nose give the aircraft its unmistakable outline, while the 1:48 scale leaves room for crisp surface detail across wings, fuselage and tail. This plastic kit is based on the assault and night fighter version of the FIAT CR.42 Falco and reflects the mixed construction of the original aircraft, which combined aluminum and steel structure with metal and fabric covering. The real aircraft used the Fiat A.74 air-cooled radial engine and reached 400 km/h, a figure that helps place the model in the final phase of biplane fighter development. Inside the box, the sprues provide the main airframe components, struts, landing gear parts, engine sections and external stores for a build with clear mechanical character. A super decals sheet for 4 versions adds squadron insignia, codes and stencil markings for different historical finishes. On the workbench, the wing struts, wheel fairings and cockpit area create a build with distinct stages and visible progress. Once painted and marked, the completed aircraft suits a display shelf, a historical aviation collection or a line-up of World War II fighters with contrasting monoplane and biplane forms.
