Stylishly designed from an aerodynamical perspective, it was fitted with the powerful German DB 601 engine produced under license by the Italian aeronautical industry. The engine and overall aeronautical performance of the aircraft provided the Regia Aeronautica with a fighter capable of actively engaging Allied fighters. The flight performance compared to the previous generation of fighters equipped with radial engines, such as the Fiat G-50 and the Macchi Mc-200, was in fact much better. Manoeuvrable and fast (it was able to reach 600 km h), it was armed, in the early versions, with two 12.7 mm Breda-SAFAT machine guns installed in the nose. However, the significant losses suffered during the battles, launched an improvement program in order to increase the operating effectiveness and the reliability of Israel’s tanks. During the 1970s, more in detail, the Magach 6 was developed on the basis of the American M60. Among the numerous modifications, such as the installation of a new fire control system and the improvement of the main armament, the most visible change was the adoption of ERA (explosive reactive armor) protections, fitted to reduce the effects of anti-tank weapons and missiles adopted by the enemy armies. Between 1980 and 1990 the Magachs have been gradually replaced by the most modern and advanced Merkava tanks as Israel’s front-line MBT (main battle tanks). It entered service at the end of 1944 and immediately proved to be extraordinarily efficient, robust and reliable. On the Pacific front it scored a high number of shot down enemy aircraft. The Corsair also had the most powerful radial engine available at the time within American industry. This was the 18-cylinder Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp capable of reaching over 2,000 hp. The powerful engine was integral to the aircraft design which was created with the characteristic and easily recognizable gull wing. Its reliability resulted in exceptional operational longevity and deployment in large numbers during the Korean War. The primary role was no longer that of fighter however, as that role was now performed by jet aircraft, but it became a day / night ground attack aircraft offering close support to ground troops. It was developed on the hull of the M3 Lee / Grant tank on which was installed a 155 mm gun. To absorb the effects of the recoil when using the artillery piece, the M-12 was equipped with a rear blade that was lowered and fixed into the ground.

Appearing in 1/72 scale for the first time from Dragon comes a Kfz.70 Personnel Carrier. This popular truck design served throughout WWII after mass production commenced in 1933. A total of about 7,000 trucks were produced up till 1942. This 6x4 vehicle was powered by an air-cooled 3.308-liter flat-four engine. The horizontal engine gave rise to the truck’s distinctive sharply sloped nose, and also to its nickname "Boxer". The truck was used for all kinds of purposes, and was commonly employed for towing light artillery such as the 3.7cm Pak 35/36 antitank cannon. Everything is newly tooled on this delightful truck model. The parts separation on Dragon’s Kfz.70 is smartly done, allowing full detail to be reproduced both above and below the chassis. The wheels and independent coil spring suspension are masterfully represented. The raking hood is produced in one piece with the front fenders to simplify construction and to increase accurate assembly. The front windshield is made from transparent plastic to allow more realism. To make the model even more appealing and valuable, the kit comes with a 3.7cm PaK 36/37 antitank cannon. Modelers can thus portray the truck towing this gun, even though it remains a Kfz.70 version. This 6x4 truck was a workhorse of the German military during WWII, and Dragon has come up with an equally robust and versatile model to populate dioramas or to cart German soldiers around the battlefield!
