DUKW Amphibious Truck Model Kit 1:72 Scale

The Italeri 1:72 DUKW Amphibious truck model kit brings a historic military transport into a compact build with the unmistakable shape of its amphibious hull and 6x6 layout. At about 117 mm in length, the finished model fits neatly into display cabinets, convoy scenes or beach landing dioramas while still leaving room for painted detail across the cab, cargo area and hull sides. The full-size DUKW was developed from the General Motor CCKW-353 2 1/2 t tactical transport truck to move loads quickly from ships to beaches during landing operations. Its 4,400 cm3 6-cylinder engine, three differentials and six driving wheels formed the mechanical basis, while the welded hull with horizontal rib reinforcement gave the vehicle its amphibious role. This kit translates that distinctive combination into a detailed plastic build that invites careful assembly, painting and finishing. Decals for 1 version are included to add markings once construction is complete.
