Article number: 510002828 Product: 1:48 Hurricane Mk.II C The Hawker Hurricane was the most common and most widely used fighter of the British Royal Air Force at the start of the Second World War. It contributed significantly to the ultimate victory of the R.A.F. during the Battle of Britain, but over the course of the war it was progressively superceded in its front-line fighter role by the much more modern Spitfire. However, the Hurricane’s role was gradually changed by the provision of very specific versions and armaments. The Hurricane Mk. IIC for example was equipped with 4 powerful 20 mm Hispano-Suiza cannons mounted in the wings with nearly 400 rounds of ammunition. The adoption of 20 mm cannons, instead of the traditional 7.7 mm machine guns, made the Hurricane extremely effective in ground attack and close support missions. Additionally, the Hurricane Mk. IIC was effectively deployed in a night fighter role. Detailed Plastic Kit

The Northrop F-5 was developed during the 1960s to meet the requirements of a number of NATO countries that needed a simple, cheap and easy to maintain multi-role fighter. Its airframe inspired the subsequent introduction of the F-5E Tiger II in the early 1970s. Equipped with two new J85-GE-21 jet engines capable of providing much higher power and thrust than the previous version, it was characterized by a longer and enlarged fuselage. The improved flight performance arising from the new aerodynamic lay-out, the greater operational range and the updated avionics, allowed the Tiger II to be used successfully by numerous air forces. The basic armaments were two 20 mm cannons installed in the nose under the cabin, supported by the capability to deploy a wide set of air-to-air missiles. In addition to its primary fighter role it still however retained extensive ground attack capabilities. Detailed plastic kit

Article number: 510001437 Product: 1:72 Fiat CR.42 Falco Model Dim.: 11,5 cm SUPER DECALS SHEET Starting from the C.R. 32 "Freccia" success proved by a great reliability and operational efficiency during the Spanish Civil War, the italian manufacturer Fiat developed, in the late ‘30s, the new C.R. 42 "Falco". The new biplane single-seat fighter had - as its predecessor - the fixed landing gear and the open cabin but was equipped with important innovations such as the alloy and steel frame covered by canvass and metal paneling. Thanks to Its supercharged air-cooled Fiat A.74 radial engine the Fiat C.R. 42 was able to reach 400 Km / h. It had an extraordinary maneuverability, much appreciated by the Italian pilots, but suffered the "biplane " configuration limits. It was able to successful engage the Gloster Gladiators, but it was soon outclassed by faster and heavily armed monoplanes as the Hawker Hurricane and the Supermarine Spitfire. Several Fiat C.R. 42, together with G.50 fighters and BR.20, CANT Z 1007 bombers has been used by the Italian Regia Aeronautica during the Battle of Britain within the "Corpo Aereo Italiano". Article number: 510001312 Product: 1:72 FW 190 D-9 The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of the best aircraft produced during World War II. Manufactured in more than 20,000 units starting from 1941, it was, alongside the Messerschmitt Bf 109, the most renowned fighter aircraft of the Luftwaffe. In its early versions, such as the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8, the fighter was equipped with a BMW 801 D-2 double-row radial engine with 14 cylinders, delivering 1,700 horsepower, enabling it to reach a top speed of 653 km/h. Over time, designers capitalized on the successful aerodynamic structure of the aircraft, achieving what can be considered its ultimate evolution. The adoption of the powerful liquid-cooled Junkers Jumo 213 12-cylinder engine necessitated a revision of the aircraft's design, resulting in an elongated nose. The D version was aptly nicknamed by Luftwaffe pilots as "Langnasen-Dora" (Long-nose Dora), but once in flight, they immediately appreciated its characteristics and capabilities. The FW-190D was indeed capable of competing on equal terms with the most modern Allied fighters, such as the renowned P-51D Mustang.   Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.
