Italeri 1:72 15 cm FieldHowitzer Field Gun brings a WWII artillery subject into a compact scale with the choice of building either the 15 cm sFH 18 howitzer or the 10,5 cm sK 18 field gun. The detailed plastic kit combines a long-barrel gun assembly, carriage components and crew figures into a display that captures the look of a field emplacement in miniature. The 15 cm sFH 18 is described in the kit material as a 150 mm howitzer with a maximum range of 13.5 km, while the 105 mm version uses the same carriage with a longer barrel. The model can be shown in towing configuration or firing configuration, which changes the stance of the trails and barrel for two distinct presentations. Waterslide decals support 3 versions, and the included figures add activity around the gun position through different poses for handling ammunition, directing fire and operating the emplacement. Model length is 12.0 cm, giving the finished artillery piece a compact footprint that still leaves room for carriage detail and crew placement. On a shelf, in a display case or as part of a historical diorama, the 1:72 scale works well with other military miniatures and scenery. Assembly takes 600 minutes. Paints, glue and tools are required separately.
