Italeri A-20B / Boston III Aircraft Model Kit 1:48

The Italeri A-20B / Boston III assembly kit captures the lines of the twin-engine Douglas aircraft in 1:48 scale, combining a glazed bomber nose, tricycle landing gear layout and period camouflage options in one detailed aircraft build. Fine exterior molding and transparent sections give the fuselage, cockpit and nose area the layered look that defines this WWII design. The kit is built around multiple sprues with dedicated clear parts, separate tail components, engine nacelles, propellers, landing gear elements and external stores. Version-specific parts support several historical finishes, and the decal sheet covers 5 liveries including RAF, Free French and USAAF aircraft. The instructions also call for 30 g of nose weight to support the model's stance after assembly. Bomb bay configuration can be handled in different ways, with an open or closed layout shown in the build sequence, and the underside can also carry the optional long range tank. Figures are not included. On the bench, the 600 minute assembly time leaves room for careful trimming, painting and decal placement across the framed canopy, engine fronts and wing surfaces. Once completed, the 1:48 scale format gives the Boston III / A-20B enough presence for a display shelf while still leaving space to appreciate details such as squadron markings, invasion stripes or the Lady Jean nose art from the included options.
