Dornier Do 217 K-1/K-2 Aircraft Kit 1:72

The Italeri Dornier Do 217 K-1/K-2 with Fritz-X guided bombs captures a distinctive World War II aircraft in 1:72 scale, combining the broad wing layout, twin-engine configuration and glazed nose of the Luftwaffe bomber in a detailed plastic kit. The subject represents the Do 217K variant, developed with a reinforced fuselage, redesigned wing surfaces and upgraded engines, and adapted to carry the Ruhrstahl SD 1400 Fritz X on an underwing pylon. The build is shaped around multiple injection-molded sprues with finely engraved surface detail, separate fuselage halves, wing sections, propellers, landing gear parts and transparent canopy elements. These clear parts help define the cockpit area and nose glazing, while the external stores and pylon components give the finished aircraft its characteristic guided-bomb configuration. The decal sheet, screen printed by Cartograf, is arranged for 6 versions and adds crosses, code letters, serial markings and maintenance stencils for a more complete historical finish. Figures are not included. On the workbench, the combination of structural airframe parts, clear glazing and detailed markings supports a focused aircraft build with plenty of painting and finishing work. Once assembled, the 1:72 scale format suits shelf display, diorama use or a line-up with other historic aircraft subjects from the same era.
