The new German army made use of the experiences collected in World War I to realize their modern reconstruction based on motorization. In spite of the limitations of the Treaty of Versailles able commanders introduced civilian vehicles into the army, thus creating a motorized mentality. In 1940 already, a battalion consisting of 3 to 4 companies each equipped with 52 motorcycles with sidecars and 4 motorcy-cles (single), was integrated into the motorized infantry and the armored divisions. Moreover, motorcycles were present in nearly all other Wehrmacht units, especially with the reconaissance units and the command, as well as the pioneer and the supply units. Produced in 16.500 units, the BMW R 75 together with the Zijndapp KS 750 formed the nucleus of the motorized units on all theatres of operations, especially in Africa and in Russia. In 1935 Teseo Tesei and Elios Toschi developed and perfected the Siluro a Lenta Corsa (S.L.C.), which was more informally known as "Maiale" (Pig). This was a torpedo modified to allow it to be guided underwater by two operators equipped with respirators. It was intended to carry a high explosive warhead under the keel of enemy ships. Référence article: 510006477 Produit: 1:35 Semovente L 40 47/32 L’engin automoteur L40 a été développé sur la base de la coque du char léger L6/40 afin de fournir aux formations rapides de l’Armée Royale un véhicule blindé capable de fournir l'appui d'artillerie nécessaire et d'être utilisé comme char d’assaut. Sur la base du projet du char L6/40, la tourelle rotative fut supprimée et le canon antichar 47/32 mod. 1935, similaire à celui utilisé sur les chars de la série « M », installé dans une casemate ouverte. Le véhicule automoteur 75/18, qui a été développé sur la coque du char moyen «M», s'est avéré être le véhicule blindé italien le plus redouté par les alliés pendant le conflit. Grâce à son obusier de 75 mm installé dans la casemate, il s'est en effet avéré être une arme antichar efficace en mesure de détruire même les chars britanniques et américains les plus puissants et lourdement blindés. Toutefois, au cours de la guerre, le Regio Esercito demanda que soit développée une version de majeure capacité offensive. A toutes fins utiles, le président Roosevelt donna l’ordre d’augmenter la production de tanks M4. Ce char ne représentait qu’en partie une nouveauté car il provenait du modèle précédent le M3 "Grant". Il était tout de même porteur de quelques innovations importantes comme la suppression de la coupole secondaire et de son canon de 37 mm et la coque supérieure qui était soudée ou moulée. Le "Général Sherman", puisque tel fut le nom de ce nouveau tank, était équipé d’un canon de 75 mm. Pourtant il était de toute évidence bien insuffisant pour affronter les tanks allemands. Ceci entraîna toute une série de modifications, comme l’adoption d’une tourelle tout à fait inédite, d’une pièce de 16 mm, plus efficace que la précédente et de blindages supplémentaires qui donnèrent lieu au modèle M4 A1. Mis en service à partir de janvier 1944, ce nouveau modèle, qui fut fabriqué environ à 3,400 exemplaires jusqu’à la fin de la guerre, montra, en dépit de ses perfectionnements, de nombreuses lacunes au point de vue de la protection: en fait les équipages des "Sherman" étaient souvent obligés de renforcer la protection des fiancs et de l’avant de leurs tanks en y appliquant des sacs de sable ou bien en soudant des morceaux de chenille aux endroits les plus exposés. Ils arrivèrent même, à certains moments, à certains moments, à garnir les "Sherman" de plaques d’acier ou de blocs en ciment. Le Northrop F-5 est né dans les années 60 pour répondre aux besoins de nombreux pays membres de l'OTAN qui avaient besoin d'un avion de chasse polyvalent simple, peu coûteux et facile à entretenir. De sa cellule d'origine, le F-5E Tiger II est né au début des années 1970. Équipé d'une paire de nouveaux propulseurs J85-GE-21 en mesure de fournir une puissance et une poussée nettement supérieures à celles de la version précédente, il présentait un fuselage allongé et élargi. Les performances de vol améliorées grâce à la nouvelle disposition aérodynamique, la portée opérationnelle accrue et l'avionique améliorée ont permis au Tiger II d'être déployé avec succès par de nombreuses forces aériennes. Le projet initial a été lancé au milieu des années 1920 (de nombreuses solutions techniques adoptées, telles que les grandes chenilles exposées, sont en effet typiques de cette période), mais il n'a commencé à être distribué aux unités qu'au milieu des années 1930. En février 1943, pour remplacer les KV désormais obsolètes, les premiers prototypes de chars lourds destinés à équiper les unités blindées de l'Armée rouge furent produits. Le plus célèbre des chars conçus pour contrer les nouveaux véhicules allemands lourdement blindés, tels que le Tiger et le Panther, fut le Joseph Stalin JS-2. Armé du puissant canon de 122 mm installé dans une tourelle montée en position centrale, il se caractérisait par une coque en acier moulé, un blindage lourd et l'adoption d'un moteur diesel V12 de plus de 600 chevaux. Le poids total du char était de 46 tonnes. Il fut utilisé dans les combats qui ont conduit à la reconquête de l'Ukraine, aux opérations en Hongrie et, dans la phase finale du conflit, lors de la bataille de Berlin.
