Article number: 510002797 Product: 1:48 A-7E Corsair II Model Dim.: 29,0 cm From ESCI moulds SUPER DECALS SHEET The LTV A-7 Corsair II was designed and implemented in the first half of the 1960s to satisfy the specific United States Navy request to have a new carrier-capable light attack aircraft able to replace the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk and the piston-powered Douglas A-1 Skyraider. It was directly developed by the fighter Vought F-8 Crusade airframe. The A-7 was characterized by the large frontal air intake under the cabin, by the 35° foldable swept wing to optimize the use and the storage on the aircraft carriers flight decks and by the adoption of a modern Head-up-Display to enhance the operational effectiveness. Thanks to its underwing hardpoints the A-7 was able to carry an impressive offensive load based on conventional bombs, guided bombs as the Paveway and air-to-surface missiles. The A-7E was the last version produced for the U.S Navy with an improved operational capability and the possibility to use the Harpoon anti-ship missiles and the AGM-88 HARM anti-radiation missiles.

This led to the creation of the robust Henschel Hs-123 biplane, which was supplied to flying Squadrons in 1935. The first operational deployment of the aircraft took place during the Spanish Civil War to the Condor Legion squadrons. Due to its 880 hp BMW radial engine the Hs-123 was able to reach a top speed of 340 km/h and could carry a large offensive payload. During the Second World War, despite its proven reliability, the rapid technological evolution of aircraft design, engines and performance relegated the Hs-123 to supporting roles. On the Eastern Front for example, it was used primarily in a night-time ground attack role. Detailed plastic kit

The model F-104 G Recce in 1/72 scale has a length of about 231 mm. Decals for 3 versions. The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter is one of the most famous fighters in the history of aviation and also one with the longest operational life: its history began at the end of the 50s and ended, for some air forces, in mid 2000s. Its unique airframe, with slender fuselage and very little wing surface, made this aircraft ideal as an interceptor. Thanks to the thrust of its General Electric J79-GE-11A afterburning turbojet engine, it could exceed Mach 2,2 with an excellent rate of climb. But it wasn't very maneuverable and difficult to pilot. The F-104G Starfighter was produced on license by several European aviation industries. From the mid 60s, it became the standard interceptor for many NATO countries including Italy, Germany, Holland, Greece, and Turkey. The armament was basically the same found on previous versions, with a 20mm Vulcan cannon and the option to fit under the wings air-to-air missiles, bombs, or additional fuel tanks to increase the airplane's range. With time, reconnaissance duties were added to the traditional interceptor service. The F-104G was therefore fitted with a dedicated "Orpheus" reconnaissance external pod that gave excellent operational results.
