1:48 F-35B Lightning II

The Italeri F-35B Lightning II 1:48 model kit brings one of the defining combat aircraft concepts of 21st century military aviation into a detailed scale build. Its subject is the single-seat, single-engine F-35B, the STOVL variant developed within the Joint Strike Fighter program and shaped for multirole use in all-weather operations. The airframe is marked by trapezoidal wings, stealth-led lines and the compact proportions associated with the F-35 Lightning II. The real aircraft combines air superiority, close air support and ground attack roles, and this version focuses on the configuration created for short take off and vertical landing. That operating concept is tied to the Pratt & Whitney afterburning turbofan and the swivel nozzle that directs engine thrust, giving the F-35B its distinctive technical character. In 1:48 scale, those defining features translate into a build that centres on form, structure and the recognisable profile of the jet. The carrier-based context adds further depth, with the F-35B designed to operate from ships such as H.M.S. Queen Elizabeth and the Italian Navy flagship Cavour. The 14 years marking suits a project built around careful assembly, painting and display, whether the finished aircraft joins a modern aviation collection or stands alone as a contemporary military subject.
