1:48 HURRICANE Mk.I

The Italeri 1:48 HURRICANE Mk.I is a detailed plastic kit built around one of the Royal Air Force's defining fighters from the opening phase of World War II. At 20.5 cm long, the finished aircraft brings the compact proportions of the Hawker Hurricane into a scale format that suits both focused bench work and display once complete. The subject reflects the Hurricane Mk.I configuration with a Rolls-Royce Merlin 12-cylinder liquid-cooled engine rated at more than 1,000 HP and an armament layout of eight 7.7 mm Browning machine guns. In service, this fighter exceeded 500 km/h and played a major role during the Battle of Britain alongside the Spitfire. The kit also comes with super decals for 4 versions, opening different marking paths for the same airframe and giving the finishing stage a stronger historical angle. A color instruction sheet supports paint placement and decal application with visual guidance across the build. On the workbench, the 1:48 scale gives enough room to develop paintwork, markings, and small details without demanding the footprint of a larger aircraft model. Once assembled, the Hurricane's wing shape, cockpit area, and wartime profile make it a natural centrepiece for a World War II aircraft lineup, whether displayed on its own or alongside other RAF subjects.
