The Italeri BMW R75 German Milit.Motor.w/Sidecar brings a distinctive wartime motorcycle to the workbench in 1:9 scale, with a finished model length of 26.7 cm that gives the sidecar layout, exposed engine and military fittings real visual presence. As a detailed assembly kit, it focuses on the characteristic engineering of the original BMW R75 rather than a simplified display piece. The full-size motorcycle entered production in 1941 after a joint BMW and Zundapp development brief aimed at using as many common components as possible for maintenance and spare-parts logistics. Its most unusual feature was the driven sidecar wheel, linked to the motorcycle through an axle system and supported by a locking differential with selectable gear ratios for on-road and off-road use. The original twin-cylinder 750 cc engine delivered 26 HP and a top speed of 95 km/h, giving the model a strong historical and mechanical background. The kit also offers decals for 4 versions, allowing the finished build to reflect different unit markings and service appearances. During assembly and finishing, the large 1:9 scale gives painted details, stencilling and weathering more room to stand out across the motorcycle, sidecar and mounted equipment. The completed model suits shelf display, diorama settings or a military vehicle collection where the combination of motorcycle, sidecar and period markings adds a different silhouette from standard armoured subjects.
