The 1:24 VOLVO F-16 Globetrotter model kit brings a classic long-haul tractor unit into a display-friendly 24.0 cm format. Italeri represents the 2-axle tractor variant with the high GLOBETROTTER cab, capturing the tall cab-over stance, prominent front grille and the character of a late-1980s heavy truck built for distance work. The full-size Volvo F-16 was launched in 1988, around 10 years after the F-12, and stood out with a 6 cylinder turbo-compressed 16000 cc Intercooler engine rated at 465 HP at 1200 rpm. That background gives the model a clear technical identity beyond its shape alone. The assembly kit focuses on the truck itself and supports a detailed finish through exterior parts and a broad decal sheet. Markings cover dashboard instruments, VOLVO and INTERCOOLER branding, Globetrotter visor graphics, speed signs, country ovals and several regional license plate options, so the completed truck can be finished with a distinctly international road-haul look.
