Josef Stalin JS-2 model kit in 1:56 scale

The Josef Stalin JS-2 from Italeri brings a World War II heavy tank into a detailed 1:56 model kit with a finished length of 180 mm. Its compact scale keeps the build manageable while still giving the casted hull, central turret and long-barrelled main gun a strong presence once assembled. This release is based on a 100% new mould, giving the parts a fresh tooling foundation for the JS-2 shape. The subject represents the heavy tank developed after the KV series, created to equip Red Army tank regiments against German Tiger and Panther tanks. The original vehicle combined heavy armour with a 12-cylinder diesel engine rated at 600 HP and a total weight of 46 tons. Those defining features give the model a clear mechanical and historical identity rather than a generic tank outline. On the bench, the 1:56 format suits compact military displays and diorama scenes where armour, terrain and figures need to share space cleanly.
