Italeri F-8E Crusader is a 1:72 aircraft model kit that captures the lean profile of the carrier-based fighter known as "The last of the Gunfighters". The finished build reflects the distinctive layout of the original Vought design, including the large front air intake, swept wings and naval jet silhouette that made the Crusader a standout on carrier decks. The full-size F-8 was the first carrier-based fighter from the 1950s to reach supersonic performance, powered by a Pratt & Whitney turbojet engine with afterburner and capable of exceeding Mach 1.8.
