1:32 Tornado GR.4

Italeri Tornado GR.4 is a detailed 1:32 aircraft model kit that brings the distinctive lines of the RAF strike aircraft into a large 52.1 cm format. The twin-engine jet is reproduced with variable-sweep wings, giving the finished build the characteristic stance of the full-size Tornado whether shown in a more compact swept configuration or with the wings extended. The subject represents the GR.4 standard, the upgraded version with revised avionics and mission capability. The kit is based on 100% new moulds and uses photo-etched parts for finer detail in key areas. An openable radome exposes the radar installation, while the removable RB.199 engine can be set on its dedicated support trolley for a maintenance-style display. Retracted or extended flaps and slats, plus movable ailerons, allow the airframe to be finished with a more tailored parked or service configuration. Rubber tyres and rubber covers for the wing entry points into the fuselage add material variation where the original aircraft shows flexible sealing surfaces and weighted undercarriage details. A super decals sheet supports 4 R.A.F. versions, including standard service schemes and special livery subjects, with markings for the airframe, cockpit instruments, pylons, tanks and selected stores. This gives the build several authentic finishing directions, from operational squadron aircraft to commemorative presentation schemes. The kit is designed for ages 14+ and requires assembly.
