1:72 Mil MI-24P / Mil MI-35P

The Italeri Mil MI-24P / Mil MI-35P brings one of the most recognizable attack helicopter silhouettes into a 1:72 scale model kit. Its subject combines the broad, armored fuselage form of the Mi-24 family with the specific identity of the Mi-24P, creating a build that stands out through its purposeful lines and military profile. The real aircraft entered Soviet service in the early 1970s and went on to serve across numerous operational theaters with Eastern Bloc forces. This background gives the finished helicopter a clear historical setting rather than a generic military look. The Mi-24P version represented a notable step in the series, using a fixed twin-barrel 30 mm cannon mounted on the starboard side of the fuselage. The kit also references the later Mi-35P, the most recent variant in production since 2020, linking the build to both the classic and current stages of the aircraft's development. Over time, the full-size helicopter family saw continuous upgrades to weapon systems and onboard avionics, which adds further depth to the subject choice. On the bench, the 1:72 scale format keeps the project manageable while still giving space for the aircraft's distinctive proportions to come through. Once assembled, the model suits shelf display, military aircraft collections, or diorama scenes centered on rotary-wing aviation. Age marking: 14 Years.
