After a long time of waiting, Zvezda finally presents the first 1/35 scale kit of the latest Russian Main Battle Tank.

The Russian main combat tank T-90 was developed in 1989 by Design Bureau of "Uralvagonzavod" enterprise in Nizhni Tagil, Russia as one more modification of the tank T-72 (T-72BU). In 1993 he was added to armoury with index T-90. The tank is armed with 125mm smooth-bored gun 2A46M of improved accuracy. The gun gives possibility to fire with different types of shells as well as missiles guided by laser beam. Utilization of automatic loader had allowed to obtain rate of fire 7-8 shots per minute, and such feature makes T-90 more notable than most of non-Russian tanks. T-90 is able to fire either any ground target or low flying enemy’s aircraft and helicopters. Capabilities of gun and up-to-date sighting complex 1A45T "Irtish" give possibility to destroy any enemy’s most modern tank before it could approach at the distance of effective firing from its gun. Auxiliary armament consists of coaxial 7.62mm machine gun PKTM and remotely pointing 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun 6P49 "Kord" on the turret. Protection of tank is provided by utilization of explosive reactive armour and up-to-date optic and electronic countermeasures complex "Shtora-1".

The kit is armed with a 125mm smooth-bore gun and has a crew of 3. The protection is provided by a mixture of steel, composite armour, explosive reaction armour, laser warning systems and an AT missile jamming system

1:35 Allied Force Eto 1944

SKU: 500776653

Article number: 500776653 Product: 1/35 Allied Force ETO 1944

Operation Overlord was the Allied master plan to wrest Europe from the clutches of Germany. More than three million Allied troops were put ashore at Normandy from 6 June 1944 onwards. A slow, grinding battle ensued for the next two months as American, British and Canadian troops established their bridgehead against strong opposition. When the breakout from Normandy finally came, it was spectacular in its speed. By September there were three Allied army groups fighting against German forces, and General Patton was racing his forces across France to the very border of Germany. The last obstacle was the Rhine River, and this was crossed in March 1945, meaning war in the European Theater of Operations (ETO) was almost over.

Dragon’s newest 1/35 scale figure set features four soldiers from the ETO in 1944. Befitting the transatlantic nature of the alliance, there are three US GIs and one Royal Marine Commando in the set. Each figure is sharply sculpted in a realistic pose, and they are versatile enough to fit any number of scenarios. They obviously depict European combat in 1944, and the British and American soldiers can be deployed individually or even combined as a complete set. They carry weapons suitable for the period, as well as all pertinent uniform and personal equipment items. These figures are ideal for a Normandy scene, or indeed for the later race across France, and the set forms a useful addition to figure and diorama modelers.
