The car's name derives from the engine adopted: an 8-cylinder in-line supercharged engine with a displacement of 2,336 cc. The Alfa Romeo could be considered the "state of art" for technology, innovative solutions and performances. Characterized by an impressive reliability and driveability the "8C" achieved significant victories in international car racing competitions. It linked its name to the famous Italian driver Tazio Nuvolari that won, among the others, the Targa Florio race in Sicily and the prestigious Italian Grand Prix at Monza. This last victory gave the "Monza" name to the twin seater GP car. From the racing version, a production batch of almost 200 vehicles was produced for the private markets and to be used on the normal road.To celebrate the 110th anniversary of the famous Italian manufacturer we are releasing the two-seater Sport version of the 1930’s. The F1 Renault team took part in the world championship in the 1980 season with the Renault RE20 powered by a turbocharged V6 Renault Gordini EF1 engine capable of delivering 520 HP. The team was completely French as the team of pilots composed by Jean-Pierre Jabouille, with the racing number 15 and René Arnoux with the racing number 16. During the season the team obtained three victories in the Brazil, South Africa and Austria GP. The Renault 20 series was modified and improved but in 1981 season, after the first five races, it was replaced by the 30 series with a redesigned chassis.

Around the middle of the decade, the German manufacturer BMW created a special series of the famous R80 GS motorcycle dedicated to the prestigious off-road competition. Starting from the chassis of the standard version, appreciated by the customers for solidity, robustness and reliability, the Munich manufacturer made several modifications and improvements. The Commando adopted a parallel twincylinder 750cc engine with two valves per cylinder. Compared to the previous British engines it was characterized by the higher displacement and the tilted forward cylinders. The use of the Isolastic antivibration system provided and impressive increase of the riding comfort. The Norton Commando, replaced the outdated Atlas, and obtained immediately a very good commercial success. It became very popular and well-known all over the World. In the United Kingdom it won the Motor Cycle News "Machine of the Year" award for five successive years from 1968 to 1972. Moto Guzzi V7 can be considered a "milestone" in the Italian and European history of motorcycle industry. It was produced from the mid of 60’s by the well-known Italian manufacturer, located in Mandello del Lario on Como lake. The most distinctive V7 technical feature was the adoption of the famous longitudinal V engine that became very soon the "ensign" of Moto Guzzi motorcycle production. Important requests, supporting new V7 the success, came from Italian Army and Italian Police Force that were looking for a reliable, robust and low cost of maintenance 2 wheels vehicle. Among the main users, the Carabinieri adopted V7 to perform patrol and traffic control duties thanks to the operational versatility of the motorbike. Later versions, as V7 Special and V7 Sport, were produced with a new bigger displacement engine able to guarantee better performances.

On September 1st, 1939, two Wehrmacht army groups invaded Poland, thus starting World War II. The Wehrmacht, characterized by an efficient military and logistics organization, achieved impressive military successes adopting the famous "Blitzkrieg" through the strong and effective co-ordination of armored troops, motorized nfantry and aviation support. The German infantryman in the first part of the conflict wore the typical "feldgrau" uniform and was equipped with the Mauser K-98 rifle, the MP40 submachine gun and with the famous "Stielhandgranate" hand grenades.

The project was set up in 1937 and was based on the need to produce a vehicle capable of having good off-road qualities, high reliability, good load capacity and, above all, easy maintenance and repairability. Thanks to the 750-cc boxer twin-cylinder engine capable of delivering 26 HP, the Zundapp KS 750 could reach a top speed of 95 km / h. The gearbox was a four-speed with the reduced on first gear and the "rear". Together with the BMW R75 it was used to perform a wide variety of tasks from transport to reconnaissance but soon came in the latter role replaced by Kubelwagen, better protected and cheaper in production. It could be armed with a MG34 machine gun installed in the sidecar's buggy.

It was designed by the engineer Ferdinand Porsche and produced by the German manufacturer Volkswagen. The project was born to have a simple vehicle, easy to build and easy to maintain and repair. The overall vehicle design is without bends and the bodywork plates are flat. Great simplicity even in the layout of the frame : just a central tube and the back support for the engine and the gearbox. The Kubelwagen, thanks to its petrol engine with a displacement of 998 cm3, was able to reach the max speed of 80 Km/h. The vehicle did not have 4x4 traction but it was extremely reliable on all types of terrain and it was present on all fronts, often in very tough environmental conditions, where the German Army fought during the entire World War II. The Kubelwagen could be armed with a support for a MG34 or MG42 machine gun.

It was a small vehicle with the front similar to a motorcycle, characterized by its handlebars and its central wheel and by a rear designed to Feature a 6 wheels tracked structure. The Kettenkrad could transport 2 passengers, additionally to the driver, or transport goods and ammunitions. It could reach a top speed of 70 km/h thanks to its OHV inline-four Opel water-cooling, the same featured on Opel Olympia car. Through its tow hook it was able to drag up to 450 kg of goods as antitank cannons of moderate size. The Kettenkrad resulted to be perfect in carrying loads and people on uneven grounds, as those sandy in North Africa or muddy ones is Russian Steppe. Later, since 1944 onwards, it was used on runways for handling of jet fighters Messerschmitt Me 262 and jet bombers Arado A-234.

The prototypes had been released on 1940 and the production started at the beginning of 1941. Its peculiar feature was to have the side-car wheel that was driven with an axle connected to the rear wheel of the motorcycle. These were fitted with a locking differential and selectable gear ratios to optimize the on-road / off-road performance. The twin-cylinder engine with a displacement of 750 cc was capable of delivering 26 HP. The BMW R75 was able to reach the max speed of 95 Km/h. It was widely used, proving its realiability and sturdiness, on all most important operating theaters and in all environmental conditions (from North Africa to Russia).

At the start of the 2nd WW, Great Britain did not have all the technical equipment needed for such a conflict, therefore a lot of vehicles were ordered urgently. Triumph proposed in short time the model 3HW, based on the civilian "Tiger 80", with an overhead valve engine and parallel forks. During this operation the town of Bastogne and its surroundings where encircled by the German troops. Inside the pocket around 15.000 American soldiers stood up to the repeated assaults of the German army for approximately ten days. The legendary resistance was that of the US 101st Airborne division inside the town. On December 22nd the General von Lüttwitz , who was the German commander, submitted a demand for surrender to the encircled units. The answer of the American commander in Bastogne, Brigadier General Anthony McAuliffe was "NUTS". Then, Germans renew their attacks trying to occupy the city but without getting results. On December 26th some soldiers of the General George Patton’s Third Army reached the besieged troops, breaking the siege and evacuating the wounded. The American Army lost more than 3.000 soldiers during this battle.

UPGRADE PROTAR MOULDS
The Fiat 806 Grand Prix adopted significant innovations for its time. In fact, the Fiat 806 was the "progenitor" of the modern Formula One racing cars. Developed and produced by FIAT, the Italian automobiles manufacturer, in 1927, it could be considered the first Grand Prix car ever built before. Thanks to its 180 HP 12 cylinders engine, the Fiat 806 was able to reach and even exceed the speed of 240 Km/h.
However, the most important innovations were made in the development of the chassis, mechanics and bodywork. In fact, the engine and gearbox unit was located between the two chassis bars in order to optimize the performance and the drivability.
The Italeri model is unique and very detailed (over 400 pieces to be assembled). The bonnet can be open to view the highly detailed engine. It has working steering, soft rubber tires, photo etched parts and little metallic accessories (screws, nuts, springs, etc).

Thanks to them this near-unbeatable motorcycle dominated the 500 cc category from 1956 to 1965, winning 9 world titles. It continued competing until 1966 when it was retired to make way for a new, lighter, more manageable 3-cylinder motorcycle. The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL was produced in 1954 by the German car manufacturer and it’s a masterpiece on four-wheels for design, elegance and luxury. The 300 SL, where the acronym stands for Sport Leicht, (Sport Light), adopted innovative solutions for the time. The Mercedes 2 door coupe had a tubular frame, a front 2.996 cc longitudinal engine connected to a 4-speed transmission and the rear drive. The maximum speed of 300 SL was 260 Km/h (162 mph). The real strength of the car, however, was in its innovative design and the adoption of the characteristic and eye-catching Gull-wing doors. Even today the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL is an icon of design and style of the period ant it is a real icon for collectors and fans.

Its history began at the end of the ‘50s and ended with some air forces in the mid-2000s.
