The North American B-25 Mitchell was probably one of the best medium bombers of World War II. The first flight of the twin-engine North American plane was done in 1939. Powered by two 1750 HP Wright R-2600 Cyclone engines, the B-25 was characterized by an extraordinary operational flexibility. It took its nickname in honor of General Billy Mitchell considered, in effect, the father and the founder of United States Air Force. From the first versions, used for the main task of medium bomber in level flight, were progressively develop and implement further variations. In particular, following the specific need for a ground attack and close support aircraft, was made the B-25G. The model Sunderland Mk.I in scale 1/72 has a length of about 398 mm.
100% NEW MOULDS - PRM & PHOTO-ETCHED FRET INCLUDED - SUPER DECALS FOR 6 VERSIONS
The Short Sunderland was one of the most famous seaplanes of World War II. It’s came into service at the end of 1938 to equip the Royal Air Force squadrons of Coastal Command. The Short industrial skills, famous for the production of transport seaplanes during the '30s, allowed to give birth to a robust and reliable aircraft to meet, in a very good way, the maritime reconnaissance and patrol duties. The 1,065 HP four Bristol Pegasus radial engines and the robust hull structure, guarantees good flexibility even for the long range mission even in tough weather conditions. Sunderland, thanks to the offensive load it could carry, consisting of depth charges, was successfully deployed in anti-submarine operations during the "Battle of the Atlantic" revealing, in fact, a good contrast to the "U-boats" of German Kriegsmarine.
The model F-104 G Recce in 1/72 scale has a length of about 231 mm.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter is one of the most famous fighters in the history of aviation and also one with the longest operational life: its history began at the end of the 50s and ended, for some air forces, in mid 2000s. Its unique airframe, with slender fuselage and very little wing surface, made this aircraft ideal as an interceptor. Thanks to the thrust of its General Electric J79-GE-11A afterburning turbojet engine, it could exceed Mach 2,2 with an excellent rate of climb. But it wasn't very maneuverable and difficult to pilot. The F-104G Starfighter was produced on license by several European aviation industries. From the mid 60s, it became the standard interceptor for many NATO countries including Italy, Germany, Holland, Greece, and Turkey. The armament was basically the same found on previous versions, with a 20mm Vulcan cannon and the option to fit under the wings air-to-air missiles, bombs, or additional fuel tanks to increase the airplane's range. With time, reconnaissance duties were added to the traditional interceptor service. The F-104G was therefore fitted with a dedicated "Orpheus" reconnaissance external pod that gave excellent operational results.
The model JU-87 B2 STUKA in 1/72 scale has a length of about 154 mm.
The JU-87 Stuka was the standard ground attack plane and dive bomber of the German Air Force at the beginning of WWII. In spite of its mediocre characteristics it achieved considerable fame through the psychological impact it had on the population and on the enemy forces. Never before has such massive employment of aircraft been experienced. The success of the Stukas during the first phase of the war was due to total air supremacy guaranteed by the Luftwaffe fighters which permitted the Stukas to operate without being disturbed by enemy aircraft. During the battle of Britain the myth of the JU-87 was re-dimensioned due to the supremacy of British fighter aircraft. Nevertheless the Stukas operated until the end of the war from the African theater to Russia.

The model S.79 Sparviero in scale 1/72 has a length of about225 mm.
Decals for one version.
This elegant 3-engined aircraft was originally developed by the Italian aeronautical industry in the mid-30s to provide fast postal links with African colonies. Versions of record-breaking speed were soon developed. Its high velocity performance brought it to the World’s attention when it was used in a purely military role as a bomber and when, during World War Two, it was extensively used as a torpedo bomber in the Mediterranean: despite poor defensive weaponry and crew protection, its successes against allied shipping were numerous.
The model XB-70 Valkyrie in 1/72 scale has a length of about 790 mm.
Decal for one version.
In the Cold War era the dream of every strategist was to own a bomber with the load capacity and autonomy of the B-52 able to fly faster than the B-58 and so the B-70 programme came into being. After years on the drawing board, and cutthroat competition between Boeing and North American Aviation, the latter’s design won the heated competition in December 1957, with an order for the first 30 aircraft to be in service by 1965. In 1959, however, it became clear that the still untested B-70 would not survive the new aerial combat scene technology and the programme was cut back to a minimum. Two prototypes were finally constructed, the first of which took to the air in September 1964, and the XB-70 Valkyries showed themselves able to fly at speeds exceeding Mach 3. Today they are considered by many scholars and airplane buffs to be the most beautiful aircraft ever constructed.
The model C-130 J Hercules PRM Editition in 1/72 scale has a length of about 410 mm.
While it maintains the familiar lines of the Hercules, a common sight in the worlds skies for decades now, the C-130J has been extensively re-designed. The most visible change lies in the use of two 4700 HP Rolls-Royce (Allison) AE2100D3 engines, with six-blade composite-material propellers that ensure silent running and low fuel consumption. High performance features include an excellent rate of climb and an extended range of action thanks to the new engines. An equally important development is the avionics: the cockpit, in fact, is equipped with new digital instruments and a Head-Up Display that provides the pilot with a constant stream of data without him having to look away from the cockpit window. The C-130J is steadily becoming the standard transport aircraft in many NATO countries, Italy included.

The Macchi MC.205 is a development of the previous MC.202 Folgore, undoubtedly the best fighter plane used by the Italian Air Force during the 2nd World War. This aircraft, with a more powerful engine, offered excellent handling and good speed, although it had limited armament which, however, was increased during production with the addition of two 20 MM cannons. But the limits of Italian industry prevented production from reaching the necessary level for the war action requirements of these aeroplanes, and the quantity of machines delivered to the squadrons was insufficient to influence the overwhelming air-power of the Allies.

Nevertheless, its commanders evaded the obstacle by introducing vehicles of the civil production, which was not subject to any limitations. Thus they set up entire companies equipped with motorvehicles, developing in this way a "motorized mentality" among the crews. The Zündapp. with a production total of 18.000 units due to its structure which guaranteed easy and economical handling - was considered one of the most modern accomplishments of the age in the field of motorcycle construction. Because of its extraordinary qualities, the Zündapp could follow and escort the tank units of the Wehrmacht and the Waffen-SS to all theatres of operations, especially in Russia, since the side car was even furnished with heating for hands and feet of the man. Zündapps were distributed to all units of the armed forces, Only after 1943, they were replaced by 4-wheel vehicles.

"V-DAY" Special Edition
NEW DECAL VERSIONS: FRANCE <(>&<)> SOUTH AFRICA (in addition to the existing US version)
In 1941, after the German attack on Russia, it became clear to the UNITED STATES that possibility of an American involvement in the war was becoming more and more inevitable. For this reason, President Roosevelt ordered substantial production increases of the medium tank M4. The tank was not a completely new model, since it derived from the previous model M3 "Grant". The Sherman had some major improvements on the superstructure and on the armament as well as on the welded or cast hull. The "General Sherman", under which name the new tank was soon to be known, was equipped with a 75 mm gun, which was, however, insufficient against the German Tanks. This necessitated a series of changes, including a completely new turret as well as a 76 mm gun, which would be more efficient than the previous one. The new prototype was given the designation M4 A1. In January 1944, the new type was introduced. Until the end of the war, about 3400 pieces were produced. Notwithstanding the improvements, there were still many defects, one of them being the lack of protection. Frequently the crew was forced to protect the tank sides and the front with sandbags. In some instances the most exposed track sections were covered and sometimes even cement or steel blocks were attached. Tanks to its numerical superiority, the tank was able to match the German tanks, using its great maneouverability and its excellent 76 mm gun. M4 A1 took part in the invasion of Normandy and in all European theatres.
