Heavy tanks and armor often hog all the limelight, but smaller AFVs also make for very interesting subjects for modelers.
Such is certainly the case with Dragon's 1/72 Sd.Kfz.222 and Sd.Kfz.223 4x4 armored cars. These were successful leichte Panzerspahwagen ("light armored reconnaissance vehicles") employed by German forces in WWII.

Dragon has previously released splendid 1/72 scale kits of these diminutive German vehicles, and now they’re available again in tandem. Item No. 7393 depicting the Sd.Kfz.222 and Item No. 7420 representing the Sd.Kfz.223 may be small in stature, but they’re definitely big on detail and character. They even come with photo-etched parts for added detail. What’s more, each box contains two identical vehicles. It’s been a while since these Dragon kits were available, and now that modelers get double the impact with two complete kits per box, there will be no stopping these little treasures from racing off the shelves!
