Of course, Apollo 11 is one of the most famous spaceflights of all time, as it was this mission that put man on the Moon for the first time on 20 July 1969. Millions of TV viewers around the world watched with bated breath as astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin Jr descended to the Moon in LM Eagle, while Michael Collins orbited overhead in Columbia. Later, Armstrong and Aldrin then used the ascent stage of the LM to rendezvous with Columbia before their spacecraft safely returned to Earth. This pre-assembled and pre-painted item in Dragon’s Space Collection is made perfectly to 1/48 scale. It shows the Apollo 11 Lunar Module as well as a space-suited astronaut, as though Eagle had recently touched down on the lunar soil. This large scale permits an incredible level of detail to be incorporated on Apollo 11. It sits on a sizeable dioramic base that’s 252mm in diameter, while the spacecraft module itself is some 140mm high. This replica is perfect not only for collectors, but for those who love space exploration and who wish to commemorate one of man’s greatest technological achievements. Article number: 540011009 Product: 1:48 Apollo11"Luna Approach"CSM"Columbia Apollo 11 will forever remain hallowed in history books since it was the mission that first put man on the Moon. Watched by millions of TV viewers, the historic Moon landing occurred on 20 July 1969 when the lander touched down on the southern Sea of Tranquility. The Lunar Module (LM), christened Eagle, spent 21.5 hours on the Moon’s surface, while the Command & Service Module (CSM), named Columbia orbited above. As for Dragon’s 1/48 scale model, it features the Eagle LM still coupled to the Columbia CSM on its approach to the Moon. The spacecraft modules possess accurate detail, and this kit conveniently provides them both in a single box. Having the two modules connected like this makes for an impressive sight when they’re exhibited on their integral display stand. The set also features a newly tooled adapter to combine the two modules together. Furthermore, the kit makes for an interesting education lesson, allowing modelers to understand more about this milestone event. Dragon is here providing a 1/48 scale kit that will serve as a magnificent desktop display piece thanks to its outstanding size and uncompromising detail.

Additionally, there is a complete set of photo-etched components for items such as a cockpit instrument panel and seatbelt for the pilot. When the company ceased operations in 1991, Dragon was able to acquire its top-quality molds and then to proudly revive its model range under Dragon's own label for the benefit of modelers all around the world. Now, to show respect to the famous and important Trimaster company, and to show its appreciation for its past contributions, Dragon has come full circle and decided to release a series of aircraft kits in boxes emblazoned with the original colors and presentation for which Trimaster was once famous. Article number: 540005547 Product: 1:48 Ba349D NATTER w/Launch Tower Not only do you get the Ba 349 Natter, this kit also includes the launch tower!! This is the 1st launch tower by Dragon in high quality 1/48 scale. This complex, yet delicately produced structure, is the perfect complement to the Natter. Its overall height of around 420mm is most impressive, and it employs both plastic and photo-etched parts. About the Ba 349: The Bachem Natter illustrated the desperation that Germany had descended into late in WWII. This small lightweight expendable interceptor was launched vertically with the assistance of its main HWK 509A-2 rocket engine, and four SR 34 rockets providing additional thrust for takeoff. After firing on enemy aircraft (for example, Allied bombers) with its air-to-air rockets or missiles, the pilot and aircraft would part company and descend separately by parachute. This "manned missile" was designated Ba 349, and its codename was Natter (Viper). This novel aircraft was of wooden construction.
Article number 500775569 Product: 1:48 Fw190A-5/U-14 Dragon’s Master Series of 1:48 Wing Tech kits now features a new 1/48 scale kit of a German Focke-Wulf Fw190 variant. The plane in question is an Fw190 A-5/U14. This type was designed to carry a single LT F 5b air-launched torpedo. The weapon was carried under the belly on the ETC 502 rack. To accommodate the payload and prevent it from scraping the ground, the Fw190 A-5/U14 had an heightened tailwheel strut. This new 1/48 scale kit is obviously based on Dragon’s highly acclaimed Fw190 fighter series. However, it comes with new tailwheel strut to suit this particular variant and also geared with the detailed torpedo. Detail on this kit is finely executed, with true-to-scale panel lines carefully represented. All the minute detail inside the two-man cockpit can be easily viewed through the clear plastic canopy too. This was a rare variant of the Focke-Wulf and, with the torpedo mounted underneath the fuselage, this German fighter looks mightily impressive and lethal.

Article number: 500775566 Product: 1:48 Bf110E Nachtjager The twin-engine Messerschmitt Bf110 heavy fighter served in the Luftwaffe throughout WWII, despite pilots bemoaning its lack of agility in the air. Later in the war, however, it found a niche when it was developed into a successful night fighter. Indeed, it served as the backbone of Germany’s Nachtjagdgeschwader, with the first nightfighting units operating as early as 1940. Bf110 aircraft had a sizable hand in claiming 2751 RAF bombers shot down in 1943 alone. In a single dramatic night in August/September 1943, night fighters destroyed no less than 123 RAF bombers. This shows the effectiveness of the Nachtjagdgeschwader, which seriously blunted Allied bomber raids over Germany. The Bf110E was designed primarily as a fighter bomber. The modelers can be assured of the best quality and highest level of detail, as is the norm in Dragon’s Wing Tech series.
