Product: 1/35 Panzer-Regiment 7, 10.Pz.Div. 1941
In terms of 1/35 scale plastic figure sets, Dragon has one of the
world’s most comprehensive ranges. The range has just been enlarged even
more with a set that will prove one of the most useful and versatile for
armored vehicle modelers. Item No.6655 features three tank German crewmen. While the box art identifies them as coming from
Panzer-Regiment 7 of 10.Panzer-Division during the invasion of Russia,
they can certainly be used for any early-war period. The figures have
been specifically designed by the master sculptor to fit neatly into the
hatches of either Panzer III or Panzer IV tanks. These plastic figures
are sharply molded with realistic poses of the type widely seen in WWII
photographs. As well as the commander standing in his hatch, and another
standing figure, the third member of the tank crew is designed to sit in
the left-side hatch of a panzer turret. This is not an easy pose for
modelers to try and create independently on their own, so this figure
will prove very useful. Dressed for warm weather, this crewman wears shirt sleeves rather than his jacket.
To add even more value to this 1/35 scale figure set, the box also
includes a bonus figure, none other than Generaloberst Guderian! Heinz
Guderian was a genius in developing Germany’s blitzkrieg tactics, and
here he is represented in miniature. The lifelike figure is a Gen2
figure. Dragon has already released a number of German early-war Panzer
III and IV tank kits, and here comes the crew to operate and general to lead them!
