Its origin can be traced back to the munus, i.e., the practice of rich and famous personalities of sponsoring public performances during religious holidays, festivals, and events. The fights happened often took place between couples of different gladiator types such as the myrmillons, the Thracians, the secutores, the retiarii, each characterized by his own equipment and fighting style. Not only in Rome but even in the smallest cities of the Roman Empire an Amphitheatre dedicated to the people entertainments and Gladiatorial fights. The Gladiators improved their fighting skills in the "Ludus", a sort of training center strongly managed by the "Lanista". The most important Gladiatorial school of the Ancient Rome was the "Ludus Mangum" close to the Coliseum and connected to it by underground tunnels.

During the first Century B.C. a long period of internal civil wars declared the end of the Roman Republic and it laid the foundation for the birth of the Roman Empire. During the first Century exceptional political and military leaders, as Julius Caesar, wrote impressive historical pages thanks to military campaigns that expand the Roman border towards more and more distant frontiers. The most famous campaign, well described directly by Julius Cesar in his "De Bello Gallico", was conducted against the Gauls led by Vercingetorix and ended with the Roman victory at Alesia in 52 BC. The effectiveness and organization of the roman legions triumphed over the courage of the Celtic warriors. The military campaigns had gradually expanded the Roman borders until arriving in Britain and on the "Limes" of the Rhine river. However the Romans brought in the conquered lands, a political, legislative and cultural model completely new and innovative who contributed, for several years, to achieve a stable and definitely evolved social system. Article number: 510104644 Product: 1:9 Suzuki RG500 XR27 Team H.B.S. 1978 The Suzuki RG 500 is considered to be an icon of two-wheel racing motorcycles of the 1970s. It was specifically developed by the Japanese manufacturer Suzuki for the racing world, and built around the reliable and powerful 4-cylinder 500cc 2-stroke engine which provided up to 90 HP. With this bike Suzuki participated in the world championships in the 500 class, achieving an incredible series of consecutive victories that led to it retaining the "constructors" title for several years. One of the architects of this successful period was the British rider Barry Sheene, who also won the "pilots" title for two consecutive years, in 1976 and 1977. In addition to international competitions, the Suzuki RG 500 was particularly appreciated by private riders who raced it in both international competitions and in minor leagues. Detailed plastic kit

Leonardo outlines the plan for an "aerial screw"imagining it as a worm screw with a diameter of approximately 5metres, in his intentions, it should have "screwed itself" in air takingadvantage of its density. Moved by the muscle strength of four menwalking on the central platform, it consisted of a wooden structurecovered with starched linen cloth. Article number: 510172002 Product: 1:24 Lamborghini Miura Model Set Model Dim.: 18 cm STARTER KIT - MODEL SET SPECIAL EDITION SPRUE CUTTER AND VIDEO TUTORIAL INCLUDED Very few cars manage to change the automobile world like the Miura. With its posterior longitudinal engine V12 and fascinating body, designed by Marcello Gandini for Bertone, the two-seater redefined the concept of a sports car. At its debut the Miura was the fastest production car in the world: With a speed over 280 kph and an acceleration from 0-100 kph in 5,1 seconds the Lamborghini Miura set new standards in the sports car segment. The original Miura P400 was produced between 1966 and 1968, but the success story did not end there: The Miura was first developed further into the Miura S (1968-1971) with 370 HP and later into the Miura SV (1971-1973), which had wider mud guards and a greatly revamped 385 HP engine with separate lubricating systems for engine and gearbox. Article number: 510015766 Product: 1:56 Char B1 bis 100% NEW MOULD - CONTAINS 3 FIGURE - COLOR INSTRUCTION SHEET WWll FRENCH AND GERMAN MILITARY VEHICLE (28 mm.) - EASY ASSEMBLY FOR GAMERS AND COLLECTORS The "Char de Bataille" B1 was the main heavy tank used by the French Army during World War II. The original project was set up in the mid-1920s (many technical solutions adopted as the large tracks are derived from the First World War main tanks) but the delivery to the French Army started only in the mid-30s. Massive and robust, Char B1 was improved in "bis" version to increase its operational effectiveness. It was armed with the 47 mm gun, located in the small turret, and the 75 mm howitzer located in the hull. The tank was characterized by a strong armour able to provide a good protection. However the heavy weight negatively affected the speed (28 Km/h) and the on road and off road maneuverability . Even if it was a good tank for those times, the Char B1 bis was deployed to support the infantry Divisions and not in Tanks Divisions. Due to this it was impossible to compete against the German Panzer Divisions during the French Campaign on 1940. After the fall of France a certain number of Char B1 has been used by German Army. Most of them became platforms for flamethrowers and known as PzKpfw B1 Bis (f) flamm. Decals for 6 versions Detailed Plastic Kit of model Char B1 bis in scale 1:56

EASY ASSEMBLY FOR GAMERS AND COLLECTORS The production of Italian tanks during the Second World War was mainly focused on the "M" type. The M-13/40 was perhaps the most recognizable and widespread tank of the Italian Regio Esercito. It was characterized by its amour which consisted of riveted steel plates and its main armament, a 47 mm gun. Although superior to the Italian light tanks of the "L" series which were relegated to perform reconnaissance duties, it in turn became obsolete during the war, and was ultimately unable to match opposing enemy tanks. The self-propelled M-40 gun was also built on its chassis. Equipped with a 75 mm gun it was very effective and feared by enemy armored vehicles. The optimum operational deployment was the combination of the M-13/40 flanked by self-propelled gun units which were able to complement the limited firepower of the tanks. During the war several improvements were made on the tanks and self-propelled guns in terms of technical solutions and armaments. Detailed plastic kit in scale 1:56

Therefore he sketched a device in which the aviator lies down on a plank and works two large, membranous wings using hand levers, foot pedals, and a system of pulleys.

Article number: 510003102 Product: ITALERI "Leonardo Da Vinci" Mechanical Lion Model Dim.: 21 cm Sheets 90/v and 91/r of the Madrid Code include drawings of "strange" mechanisms that are not linked to the treatise on mechanics and often have no explanatory text. Analysing them led to the reconstruction of mechanisms enabling a mysterious animal, a mechanical lion, to move robotically. The lion, a gift from Pope Leone X and the town of Florence, was taken to Lyon, in France; on July 12 1515, at the end of a surprising, magical walk before the King of France, Francis I, it stopped knocking some lilies over. It can be considered one of the first animal-like robots ever built.
